Grants

Grants fulfilled by LEF benefit every child at Leland Public School and across all subject areas. LEF receives grant requests from teachers and administrators two times per year: in the spring and fall. Grants pay for field trips at all class levels, educational experiences and extra programming in all subject areas, equipment and materials for extracurricular activities and so much more!

"The class trips and field trips are such an important part of the students learning. What they have learned in the classroom can be applied to what they are seeing on the trip which makes these learning experiences priceless! "  ~ Ashley Suttmann, 1st grade teacher

"Thanks LEF! I loved going to the Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes. We learned about the Legend of Sleeping Bear in our class."  ~ Lucy Baldwin, 6 years old

"Integrating this new technology in to the Literature program will allow students to collaborate and share ideas about the assigned book. The software will compile the ideas, comments and notes from students as they are reading and it gives more time in the classroom for discussions and learning that takes place from these notes and ideas."   ~ Jeanne Gross, High School English and Literature teacher
